Hey! I'm Jen Mullowney, a documentary and fine art photographer based in New York.

And of course, a mom to two lovely boys.

I'm Jen, a documentary and fine art photographer based out of Yellow Studio in Westchester, New York. For me, photography is all about connection—capturing the quiet, powerful moments that tell real human stories. Whether I’m out on the street chasing the perfect candid frame, documenting a family’s milestone, building a brand’s visual identity, or diving into the complex narratives behind current events, my lens is always focused on empathy, awareness, and authenticity. I believe the camera is a tool for understanding—ourselves, each other, and the world we share. Every project I take on is an invitation to look a little closer and feel a little deeper.
Giving back to the community is something I hold close to my heart. Over the years, I’ve been honored to donate my photography services to causes and events that matter deeply to me—from capturing the 2020 George Floyd rally in Bedford Green, to supporting local initiatives like the Pound Ridge Eco-Chic event and the BPR Baseball Association. Using my camera to uplift voices, celebrate community, and document meaningful moments is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
